A range that was converted to propane years ago and never readjusted burns yellow and sooty. A spark igniter near the ocean corrodes and starts clicking on its own. Propane, Salt and Power Flickers
Three things set Malibu apart. Propane needs its own orifices and a regulator that is set right, and a lot of ranges out here were converted in a hurry. Salt air eats the spark electrodes and the connectors under the cooktop, which is why a Malibu Wolf clicks when a Pasadena Wolf does not. And the canyon grid drops out often enough that we see control boards and displays that were fine until the power came back. We bring the parts for all three and check all three on every visit, because the one you called about is rarely the only one.
Outdoor Wolf grills are part of the same service. If the grill by the pool is weak or will not light, say so when you call and we will look at it in the same trip.
What Fails Near the Ocean

Service Day in Malibu
You get a two-hour window and a call from PCH. We know the gates, the guard shacks and where to leave the truck at a beachfront house. Why do the burners click by themselves?
Moisture or corrosion at an igniter or switch. Common near the ocean, quick to fix, worth doing before it takes the spark module with it.
